The Carlton can help you organise a tasteful end of life celebration.

A celebration of life, of a loved one, family relative or friend is naturally a difficult occasion. We have hosted a number of events marking the passing of loved ones, and can help with planning and making sure everything runs smoothly on the day. We offer a choice of private rooms of various sizes for exclusive use by your party.

The timeline to planning a funeral can vary greatly, but we are able to respond at really short notice should the need arise. We always offer a friendly and sympathetic welcome and our team is well experienced and there to ensure your guests are quickly put at ease.

To help make the occasion as stress free as possible we:

Offer flexible use of our different event rooms
Accept variations in catering up to 48 hours out
Offer a variety of menus with or without drinks
Discuss with you best value / numbers to fully cater for
Operate a full cash bar service if required
Accommodate various dietary requirements, simply let us know ahead
Friends or family requiring accommodation will receive a discount on our tariff

A Range of Menus

Most end of life celebration organisers choose from our afternoon tea style buffets; preferring the flexibility and range that this style offers. However, you are welcome to choose from any of our menus including sit down if you prefer. In any event we recommend you don’t over subscribe to meal numbers – in fact, as experience has demonstrated, it’s often better to underestimate on these events.

We’ll happily discuss and guide you during the planning stages. Our aim is to ensure that your guests, relatives and friends have the best sense of occasion in remembering a loved one at a difficult time, whilst ensuring your planning is as headache free as possible.

Events Planner

Our free, in house, planning service will be happy to advise and recommend ideas to make your event complete. Whether it’s choosing the right menu, room set up, layouts, additional services, staffing levels or service times, we can help. We love to meet with you in person to fully understand your precise requirements, but we recognise this isn’t always possible.
