Lunch in The Brasserie at The Carlton
Our freshly prepared and locally sourced lunch menu will be available again in summer 2023 and is still available upon request for larger groups – please call in advance if required.
We’ve fully refurbished our Brasserie and Bar at The Carlton, and we are pleased to serve five days a week during high season. Our popular Sunday lunch is available all year round.
We offer a great value, special fixed price menu. Our lunch menu featured a choice of starters, mains and puddings. Light salads, and parfaits and all freshly sourced local ingredients; like the Creedy Carver duck leg, and Appledore fish goujons, and, for a small supplement, a West Country rump steak.
Our plant-based offering included starters, desserts and a slow cooked flat mushroom, spelt and baby gem main course.
We’re off the beaten track, next to The Tunnels Beaches.
Gluten-Free Dining
We serve gluten free options at all meal times. Because we cook from scratch it is easy to meet individual dietary requests including gluten free and coeliac needs. Let us know beforehand and we’ll ensure you can experience the majority of our menu.

Spacious Ambience
Our airy dining room has plenty of space to allow dining in comfort, complemented by our well stocked bar and carefully curated wine list. Have lunch with us and set yourself up perfectly for a countryside walk… or an afternoon armchair snooze!
Enjoyed a wonderful lunch at The Carlton. Super food well presented and supported with great service. We are returning shortly for an evening meal with friends and looking forward to another pleasant time. Eliot and Michael run a very good hotel.
