Fantastic Deli Takeaway

First, visit to my parents after four months due to lockdown, we ordered a deli menu delivery so we could share the special occasion in their garden while self-distancing. The Carlton Hotels deli offers a fantastic choice of menus and we chose menu D which they then carefully ensured met our dietary requirements. Delivered, freshly made, this is a great way to eat out whilst locked in. Or, after lockdown, a luxury picnic or pre-prepared lunch. Westcountry portion sizes too! We loved all the dishes but my favourites were the aubergine rolls, pork and apricot sausage rolls and scotch egg. We will be back.”

“Michael was an amazing and friendly host in what can only be described as very challenging conditions at the moment. The hotel has adapted well to the current guidelines so don’t be afraid whatsoever with any upcoming stay. Perfect location for Tunnels Beaches. Food was great. The hotel was very tidy and modern. Great location, clean, great food and family friendly

What a lovely hotel! Great service from start to finish and the staff were extremely accommodating. We visited the day it reopened after lockdown, for a short trip away with my husband and two children (3.5 and 19 months) they upgraded our room to one of the newly refurbished rooms which were spacious and had two beds in it a large king-size and a single bed ( room 105). The room had a safe, hairdryer and mini-fridge, handy to put milk in for the children and due to cleaning restrictions, they provide sashes of shampoos, soap and shower gel. Lots of hand sanitiser stations all over the hotel. Free parking on site. And a lift to access all floors. Overall, id definitely be returning with my family to Carlton Hotel again.

Pamper Afternoon

We went to a pamper afternoon taster. treatment was amazing. staff very friendly. and the food…lots for a taster for afternoon tea. All tasted amazing and the presentation was beautiful. We will be back thank you!

We held our grandsons Issac christening here

We held our grandsons Issac christening here last year, absolutely amazing first class service from Michael and all staff. Food was sooooooooooooooooo delicious and plenty of it. Everyone of the party who stayed overnight said they would definitely return and would highly recommend the Carlton to all family and friends.Staff could not do enough for you ..so once again a huge thank you to Michael and staff for such a lovely day …will definitely be booking for future events xxxx

We had our wedding reception at The Carlton

We had our wedding reception at The Carlton last September (2018) and it was absolutely beautiful! The service was incredible, the food was amazing and the team were soo helpful for the upcoming of the wedding. Eliot was brilliant with the help of organising and laying out everything the morning of the wedding!
It looked fab and was a truly amazing day and evening! HIGHLY recommend for anyone wanting to stay there, have the wedding there or any event!

Fantastic space to encourage relaxed conversation

Really want to thank you, not only for the fantastic space we had at our disposal yesterday, it felt just right to encourage a very relaxed conversation, but also because of how well you treated us yesterday. I’ve never been much into hotels – but I do appreciate them when they feel just right / and the Carlton did just that.

Fantastic Stay

Just returned from a five night visit from the Carlton Hotel Ilfracombe with our Dog Ruby, and all I can say is that our stay was outstanding. Everyone there went out of their way to make us feel welcome, we will definitely be returning

Lovely hotel and great food

We stayed at the Carlton over a weekend with other family members. The rooms were stylish and comfortable with very nice on suite facilities. The staff made us feel very welcome and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The food in the hotel restaurant was outstanding, we ate there on both nights and the full English breakfast was cooked to perfection. Ilfracombe is a lovely seaside town set in beautiful scenery and the wonderful Woolacombe beach is just a few minutes away in the car.
