As always, there’s lots to do in North Devon, and this February Half Term is no different! From the vast amount of local countryside walks to explore, to the beaches, to the many events put on to keep everyone entertained, you won’t be disappointed.

The Big Sheep is a great all weather location with fun to be had on the farm. They have an indoor play zone, rides and animals to meet and even some lambs to cuddle!

With educational garden themed workshops including building your own terrarium and children’s entertainer Captain Coconut, RHS Rosemoor is a must visit location this February half-term. Go on an adventure around the house-plant themed garden trail and discover all kinds of houseplants along the way. Giving children and adults alike to get in touch with nature and explore the beautiful gardens.

Quince Honey Farm awaits your visit and is a great day out whether you have little ones or not and you if it takes your fancy, you can even book a beekeeping experience day. Take the tour and learn how Honey is made and be sure to stop at the restaurant to sample some tasty homemade treats made using fresh produce from the farm.

We are lucky enough to have the only large scale glass factory left in the UK on our doorstep at Dartington Crystal. Take a factory tour and watch the skilled glassblowers, then visit the gift shop and take a look the many stunning goods produced. Why not finish at the cafe for a bite to eat. Well worth a visit and why not pick up an extra special souvenir while your there and order a custom piece to take home.

Let the children burn off some energy at World of Wonder soft play, a clean indoor play area for some indoor fun, available whatever the weather. Afterward you can enjoy a shopping trip at Affinity Devon, treat yourself and grab a guilt-free bargain at their outlet shopping centre.

If it’s animal experience you’re after, look no further than Woolley Animals Farm Park. Providing animal fun from goat milking demos to animal feeding and handling. The park can be enjoyed by all ages and you could even book an alpaca walk around their private woodland and fields!

Allow your little ones to impress their teachers and classmates with the facts they learn at Ilfracombe Museum, a small but mighty museum in the heart of our very own town. Parents are sure to learn something too with an impressive historic collection, spread over eight rooms.

Ilfracombe Aquarium is another attraction perfect for a wet or dry day alike and very local attraction to us. Including a pier cafe with a view of the harbour, and the funky fish gift shop, learn about the fascinating journey of an Exmoor stream source to sea at North Devon’s much loved aquarium.

With a packed February half-term ahead of us, you’re sure to enjoy this Spring break!
