STEP THROUGH THE AGES
Celebrate Ilfracombe’s inaugural History & Fashion Exhibition with a special evening at TheCarlton.
Enjoy a welcome drink reception and an elegant three-course dinner before the evening continues with live entertainment from Nothing But Treble, a North Devon acoustic band known for its warm three-part harmonies.
Guests are encouraged to enter into the spirit of the occasion by dressing through the ages. Choose the refinement of the Victorian era, mid-century glamour, swinging sixties style or the colour and character of the psychedelic seventies.
There will also be a prize for the best outfit.Period dress is encouraged but not compulsory.

Based in North Devon, the acoustic band brings together warm three-part vocal harmonies and an engaging live sound—the perfect conclusion to our journey through the ages.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

The first Ilfracombe History & Fashion Exhibition takes place on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 October 2026 at St Philip & St James Community Centre, St James Place, Ilfracombe. The exhibition is a creative celebration of Ilfracombe’s local history and mid-century fashion, featuring immersive displays, recreated period settings and contributions from local creatives and family businesses.
The exhibition is a separate event and admission is not included with the dinner ticket.
