The Carlton has a reputation for producing tasty food, with ingredients sourced locally, as the season allows, from what we like to call our North Devon larder. The best in locally sourced & seasonal ingredients, prepared to order, freshly cooked.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our menus encompass a range of daily eating occasions, from fresh cooked breakfast to Brasserie lunches (including our popular Sunday lunches<\/a>) and dinner. We also provide a collection service with our Deli boxes,<\/a> freshly prepared and ready for you to collect. Delivery is available with a minimum order of 8 people.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

A stay away is an occasion to indulge, and if that occasion demands more than three square meals a day, guests at The Carlton can extend the taste experience by calling up for room service or enjoying morning coffee and afternoon tea, served with cakes, scones and pastries.<\/span><\/p>\n

We love to find new suppliers<\/a>. We’ve been working with Lucho Bakes and his superb sourdough bread. <\/span>We are lucky to have quality West Country meats from our Muddiford butcher, and Exmoor beef from Chris Lerwill\u2019s Exmoor Park farm. Choice game is delivered daily from MC Kelly, well known for their regional cuts. Our greengrocers offer locally picked crops, many from the Great Field in Braunton, as well as access to the local market in nearby Bristol. Fish is delivered daily from the markets at Appledore and Brixham, with some produce coming from the day boats in our own harbour.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sunday lunch is a weekly Carlton highlight, with classic plated roasts as well as dishes for the whole family. Our Sunday lunch sets you up for a harbour or countryside walk, and even a well earned armchair snooze. We are regular visitors to the Carlton. Why? Because the food is excellent, the staff are attentive and we are always made to feel welcome.<\/p>\n

We were served by Kelsey and Owen on our last visit a few days ago who are simply the best. The team always remembers what we like to drink, how we like our food prepared and always has a smile and a welcome second to none.<\/p>\n
